The Spaulding Residence designed by Mario Corbett in 1955. Corbett A San Francisco based architect, hailed by "Life Magazine" as a representative of the Bay Area style the structure is a curvilinear silhouette respecting the positioning of the then 60 year old redwood tree grove. The original house was designed to accommodate the needs of a family of four. In 1963 Wallace Reid Jr. was hired to add a partial second story above the existing car port adding an additional two bedrooms, a play room and a bath. In the year 2001 the prestigious firm Wiehle & Carr was hired to update the existing space. The gracious parcel fronts the rustic canyon creek and offers rare opportunity to live in honest mid century architecture in the heart of rustic canyon close to the park.
